PT Anugrah Argon Medica (AAM) introduced a digital precursor ordering service to support the enhancement of pharmacists' roles and the quality of public health during the Annual Scientific Meeting (PIT) of the Indonesian Pharmacists Association (IAI) on Thursday, August 29, 2024, in Mataram, West Nusa Tenggara.
The event was attended by the Head of the Indonesia Food and Drug Authority (BPOM), Mr.
Taruna Ikrar; Chairman of IAI, Mr. Noffendri Roestam; Director of Pharmaceutical Production
and Distribution of the Ministry of Health, Mrs. Dita Novianti Sugandi; and AAM Quality
Assurance Manager, Mrs. Sulviria.
PIT IAI 2024 carried the theme "Weaving Progress: Integrating Pharmaceutical Sciences into The Global Health System," where Mr. Taruna Ikrar emphasized that pharmacologists and pharmacists are intrinsically linked and cannot be separated.
"Badan POM will continue to oversee the transformation of the national health resilience
system to enhance the competitiveness of the national pharmaceutical industry. It is hoped
that the synergy that has been established between BPOM and IAI can be maintained and
strengthened to achieve a strong and independent pharmaceutical sector in Indonesia," said Mr. Taruna Ikrar.
Digitalisasi Pemesanan Prekursor di AAM
Mrs. Sulviria presented a session titled "Distribution of Pharmaceutical Precursors to Hospital Service Facilities." During her presentation, she introduced AAM's innovative digital platform that facilitates the digital ordering of precursors through the GPOS B2B application.
The distribution of pharmaceutical precursors at distribution facilities is regulated by Badan POM under Regulation No. 24 of 2021 concerning the Supervision of the Management of Drugs, Narcotics, Psychotropics, and Pharmaceutical Precursors at Pharmaceutical Service Facilities.
"Although the regulations are in place, the process of reporting and ordering precursor drugs
remains complex and time-consuming. Now, a platform is available that simplifies the ordering process for products, including precursors, at AAM. It only takes five easy steps, from selecting precursor products to issuing and validating the order," said Mrs. Sulviria.
The digitalization of precursor orders not only accelerates and simplifies product ordering but also provides archiving of Order Forms (SP) that can be downloaded for several years.
This digital solution addresses challenges in the distribution of pharmaceutical precursors by Pharmaceutical Wholesalers (PBF), such as the accuracy of order forms, the validity of order forms, receipt at pharmaceutical facilities, and the analysis of reasonable ordering practices.
AAM is a subsidiary of PT Medela Potentia, which for over four decades has been trusted to enhance access and resilience in national healthcare.
