AAM Expands Energy Transition Through Solar Power Adoption at Tangerang Branch

As part of PT Medela Potentia Tbk and its subsidiaries' commitment to advancing more sustainable operations, PT Anugrah Argon Medica (AAM) has begun harnessing solar energy through a Rooftop Solar Plant (PLTS) at its Tangerang Branch. This initiative marks a concrete step by AAM to expand its use of renewable energy while supporting the company’s trajectory toward Net Zero Emissions by 2050.

The solar installation at the AAM Tangerang Branch features an installed capacity of 93.75 kWp DC and officially achieved its commercial operation date (COD) on Friday, August 14, 2026. This milestone was commemorated by an agreement signed between AAM and Suryanesia, its implementation partner for the solar project.

Adopting solar energy is a key component of AAM’s effort to integrate sustainable practices into daily operations. Beyond advancing the use of renewable energy sources, this initiative allows the company to explore greater energy efficiency while actively managing the environmental impact of its business activities.

President Director of PT Medela Potentia Tbk, Mrs. Juliwaty, stated that the transition to solar energy complements existing corporate initiatives aimed at fostering sustainable operations.

“Advancing toward more sustainable operations requires a multifaceted approach. Having already introduced electric vehicles to support our operational mobility, we are now expanding these efforts by integrating solar power at the AAM Tangerang facility. Moving forward, we will continue evaluating opportunities and developing initiatives aligned with the company's operational needs,” said Mrs. Juliwaty.

As a pilot project within AAM, the Tangerang solar installation provides valuable operational insights to evaluate the potential rollout of similar initiatives across other company locations.

Supply Chain & System Director of PT Anugrah Argon Medica, Mr. Stephen Febianto Kusumo, noted that the successful implementation of the Tangerang solar project was the result of cross-party collaboration from initial planning through to commercial operation.

“The AAM Tangerang solar project serves as an essential milestone for us in understanding the end-to-end solar deployment process in operational facilities. From bidding, planning, and installation to reaching COD, every stage provided critical insights that will guide our preparations for future solar power projects across other AAM sites,” said Mr. Stephen Febianto Kusumo.

The adoption of solar energy in Tangerang further reinforces AAM’s ongoing efforts to adopt environmentally friendly energy sources. Previously, AAM deployed a fleet of 106 electric motorcycles across 15 branches, as well as an electric car.
