As a testament to its commitment to fostering a halal ecosystem in Indonesia, PT Anugrah Argon Medica (AAM) has been honored with the Halal Award by the Food, Drug, and Cosmetic Assessment Agency of the Indonesian Council of Ulama (LPPOM MUI) at The LPPOM MUI Halal Award 2023 event that took place on Monday, September 4, 2023. It was held at the International Convention Center of Bogor Agricultural Institute (ICC IPB) in Bogor.
AAM received the award in the category of Best Halal System Implementation. The award was presented by the CEO of LPPOM MUI, Mrs. Muti Arintawati, to AAM's CEO, Mrs. Juliwaty. Also, in attendance was AAM's Logistic Operations Manager, Mrs. Sylvi Sundari.
"We are grateful for this recognition. AAM is the first pharmaceutical distributor in Indonesia to implement a Halal Assurance System in the storage and distribution of pharmaceutical products," stated Mrs. Juliwaty.
In his virtual address at the event, the Vice President of Indonesia, Mr. K.H. Ma’ruf Amin, expressed his appreciation, "I congratulate all the companies and businesses nominated, and those who have received awards at the LPPOM MUI Halal Award 2023. May the participation in the coming years continue to grow. May the halal industry in Indonesia also continue to advance rapidly and make a tangible contribution to the welfare of society and the nation."
Also delivering welcome remarks at the event were Mr. Airlangga Hartarto, the Coordinating Minister for Economic Affairs of Indonesia; Mr. Sandiaga Uno, the Minister of Tourism and Creative Economy of Indonesia; and Mr. Teten Masduki, the Minister of Cooperatives and SMEs of Indonesia.
Menko Perekonomian menegaskan bahwa peluang ekonomi halal di Indonesia sangat besar. Menurut beliau, pengeluaran umat muslim Indonesia untuk sektor halal diprediksi meningkat 7,8% tahun mendatang. "Potensi ini harus dimanfaatkan dengan baik oleh pelaku usaha Indonesia," ujar Menko Perekonomian.
Selanjutnya Bapak Sandiga Uno berharap penghargaan ini memotivasi perusahaan untuk meningkatkan pelayanan kepada konsumen untuk menyediakan produk halal. Senada, Bapak Teten Masduki menyatakan keberpihakan pemerintah dalam pengembangan ekosistem halal.
