Argon Goes to Campus at Universitas Brawijaya Strengthens Industry-Academia Collaboration

Understanding industry needs is an important part of preparing students to enter the professional world. Through the Argon Goes to Campus program, PT Medela Potentia Tbk, through Argon Peduli, collaborated with the Pharmacy Professional Education Program at Universitas Brawijaya, Malang, to broaden students’ understanding of the professional environment and the competencies required in the healthcare industry.

Held on Thursday, August 20, 2026, the program featured Mrs. Nancy Kartika, Human Resources Director of PT Medela Potentia Tbk, as the speaker. The event was also attended by Mrs. Tamara Gusti Ebtavanny, Apt., S.Farm., M.Farm., Head of the Pharmacy Professional Education Program (PSPPA), and Mr. Luthfi Ahmad Muschlashi, Apt., S.Farm., M.Farm., a lecturer from the Department of Pharmacy.

During the guest lecture,Mrs.  Nancy introduced the business ecosystem of PT Medela Potentia Tbk and its subsidiaries while sharing insights on preparing for the professional world. The session covered the company’s recruitment and interview processes, as well as various aspects that students should consider when building their professional careers.

The session provided students with an overview of industry expectations and highlighted the importance of developing relevant competencies from an early stage of their education. In addition to academic capabilities, students need to strengthen their communication skills and be able to effectively articulate their competencies, experiences, and potential throughout the recruitment process.

Mrs. Nancy Kartika emphasized that collaboration between educational institutions and industry provides an important platform for students to gain perspectives that are closely aligned with professional expectations.

Through Argon Goes to Campus, we aim to share industry experience and perspectives so that students can better understand the competencies required and prepare themselves to make meaningful contributions in the workplace,” said Mrs.  Nancy.

Mrs. Tamara Gusti Ebtavanny highlighted the importance of this collaboration.

Without such collaboration, there can be a significant gap between the competencies of graduates and the needs of employers, particularly in the industrial sector. Partnerships like this can help reduce that gap,” said Mrs. Tamara.

Insights into recruitment processes, company expectations, and the ability to communicate their competencies and potential effectively can serve as valuable preparation as students transition from academic life to the workplace.
