Argon Goes to Campus at UNSOED Equips Future Healthcare Talent with Insights into Pharmaceutical Distribution

Healthcare talent development can begin during the academic journey by providing students with opportunities to gain exposure to and firsthand experience of the professional world. Through the Argon Goes to Campus program, PT Medela Potentia Tbk, through Argon Peduli, collaborated with Universitas Jenderal Soedirman (UNSOED) in Purwokerto to broaden students’ understanding of the healthcare industry while creating opportunities to develop their competencies through practical experience.
Held on Tuesday, August 18, 2026, the program was attended by 80 Pharmacy Professional Program students and featured Mrs. Noni Mega Kinasih, Head of Logistics at PT Anugrah Argon Medica (AAM) Purwokerto Branch, and Mrs. Giacinta Karlyn Nindrasmara, HR Service Associate Manager at PT Anugrah Argon Medica, as speakers. The event was also attended by Dr. rer. nat. apt. Harwoko, M.Sc., Head of the Pharmacy Professional Program at Universitas Jenderal Soedirman.
During the guest lecture, Noni delivered a session on Good Distribution Practices for Pharmaceutical Products (GDP), while also introducing students to pharmaceutical distribution practices in an industry setting. The session provided students with an overview of how pharmaceutical competencies are applied throughout the distribution process to maintain the quality and safety of medicines.

Insights from industry practitioners provided students with an opportunity to understand how the knowledge and competencies gained during their studies can be applied in a professional context. This perspective is important for future pharmacists to recognize that their pharmaceutical expertise can contribute to various areas of the healthcare ecosystem, including pharmaceutical distribution.
The development of these competencies is also supported through opportunities for Pharmacy Professional Program students at Universitas Jenderal Soedirman to undertake Pharmacist Professional Practice at various PT Anugrah Argon Medica branches. Through this experience, students can gain direct exposure to pharmaceutical distribution activities while developing a deeper understanding of how their pharmaceutical competencies are applied in the workplace.

Combining academic learning with practical experience provides students with a more comprehensive understanding of the professional world. Beyond gaining knowledge about the industry, students have the opportunity to observe and experience firsthand how professional processes and activities are carried out in practice.
Mrs. Giacinta said that talent development needs to be nurtured progressively from the academic stage through various opportunities to gain exposure to the professional world.
“Talent development does not only begin when individuals enter the workforce. It can be nurtured from the academic stage by providing opportunities to gain exposure to and firsthand experience of professional environments. Through Argon Goes to Campus and PKPA opportunities, we aim to provide students with a platform to broaden their perspectives, develop their competencies, and understand how the knowledge they acquire during their studies can be applied in the workplace,” said Mrs. Giacinta.
