Understanding the healthcare ecosystem as a whole is essential in preparing future healthcare professionals. Through the Argon Goes to Campus program, PT Medela Potentia Tbk, through Argon Peduli, shared insights into pharmaceutical distribution practices with students of the Pharmacist Professional Program at Universitas Tadulako, Palu.
Held on Friday, August 14, 2026, the session featured Mr. Marthin Tri Cahyono, Head of the Palu Branch of PT Anugrah Argon Medica (AAM), as the speaker. The event was also attended by Dr. apt. Yuliet, S.Si., M.Si., Coordinator/Head of the Pharmacist Professional Education Program, Faculty of Mathematics and Natural Sciences, Universitas Tadulako.
During the guest lecture, Marthin provided insights into the implementation of Good Distribution Practices for Drugs (GDP) at PT Anugrah Argon Medica. The session offered an overview of how distribution standards are implemented to maintain the quality, safety, and efficacy of pharmaceutical products throughout the distribution process until they reach healthcare facilities.

For future pharmacists, understanding pharmaceutical distribution is an important aspect of gaining a broader perspective on the profession. The role of pharmacists extends beyond pharmaceutical care and is closely connected to various processes within the healthcare ecosystem, including ensuring that medicines are properly managed and distributed in accordance with applicable standards.
Through direct interaction with an industry practitioner, students gained practical insights into how pharmaceutical knowledge is applied in the workplace, particularly within the distribution sector. The experience also strengthened the connection between professional education and real-world industry practices.

Mr. Marthin highlighted that sharing knowledge about pharmaceutical distribution practices with students is part of the industry's contribution to supporting the development of future healthcare professionals.
“We hope that insights into Good Distribution Practices can give students a better understanding of the role of pharmaceutical distribution in maintaining the quality and availability of medicines. As part of the healthcare ecosystem, distribution plays an important role in ensuring that medicines are delivered in accordance with applicable standards and ultimately reach the community,” said Mr. Marthin.
The presence of industry practitioners in an academic setting also gives students an opportunity to see firsthand how pharmaceutical principles are applied in distribution operations. This perspective can help future pharmacists better understand the connection between standards, processes, and responsibilities in maintaining the quality of medicines until they reach the community.
