Argon Peduli and Universitas Surabaya Bring Free Health Screening Closer to the Community

Early health screening can help people better understand their health conditions and take appropriate steps to maintain their well-being. Through Argon Peduli, PT Medela Potentia Tbk collaborated with Universitas Surabaya to provide free health screening and health consultations for the community in Sidoarjo, East Java.

The community service activity was held on Monday, August 10, 2026, at Apotek UBAYA 2, Sidoarjo, in collaboration with the Faculty of Pharmacy’s Professional Pharmacist Program at Universitas Surabaya and Universitas Surabaya Hospital. A total of 205 community members benefited from the activity, which included blood pressure, blood glucose, and cholesterol checks, as well as medical consultations.

Participants who required further support also received vitamins and medicines as needed. Beyond providing health services, the activity also created an opportunity for the community to gain a better understanding of their health conditions and the steps they can take to maintain their health.

Dody Mulia Yaputra, S.Farm., M.Farm., a lecturer at the Faculty of Pharmacy, Universitas Surabaya, and Pharmacist in Charge at Apotek UBAYA 2, said the activity could help raise public awareness while strengthening the role of the pharmacy as a source of reliable health and medication information.

“Through this free health screening activity, the community can better understand their health conditions and risk factors, as well as gain a better understanding of the steps they can take to maintain their health. We also hope that the community will utilize Apotek UBAYA 2 as a source of medication information and a place to consult with our team of pharmacists.”

The collaboration also demonstrates how community health initiatives can provide benefits beyond screening itself. By combining health checks with consultation and access to medication information, the activity provided the community with a more comprehensive understanding of their health and available support.
