Argon Peduli Strengthens Community Health Through Intersectoral Healthcare Services Collaboration

Public health plays a strategic role in building a strong and competitive workforce. However, communities in rural areas, such as Deli Serdang, continue to face challenges in accessing basic healthcare services and routine medical check-ups.

As part of its commitment to advancing community health, PT Medela Potentia Tbk, through Argon Peduli, collaborated with the Indonesia Armed Forces Kodam I/Bukit Barisan, Batalyon Infanteri 852/Abhinaya Bala Yudha, the Faculty of Pharmacy, Universitas Sumatera Utara, and the Indonesian Red Cross to deliver a free health screening and medical service program in Sugiharjo and Kampung Tengah, Deli Serdang, on Friday, September 19, 2025.

The initiative provided comprehensive healthcare services to 165 residents, including blood pressure, cholesterol, and blood glucose checks, medical consultations, and medicine distribution. Additional services included patient education on responsible medication use, the distribution of milk and vitamins for toddlers, and baby weighing sessions conducted by healthcare professionals.

The most frequently identified health issues during the program were hypertension, cephalgia (headache), high cholesterol, and common cold and cough.

Through strategic partnerships between the private sector, academia, humanitarian organizations, and the military, this initiative illustrates how cross-sector collaboration can expand access to quality healthcare.
