Argon Talks With Z: Empowering Young Voices, Connecting Generations

The workplace brings together people from different generations, each with unique experiences, perspectives, and approaches to work. This diversity creates an opportunity for employees to learn from one another, regardless of age, position, or level of experience. Through open dialogue, ideas can be shared, perspectives can be broadened, and individuals can find new ways to grow.
Driven by this spirit, PT Medela Potentia Tbk held Argon Talks With Z at HO Titan Center on Wednesday, August 26, 2026. The event provided a platform for Gen Z employees to confidently share their perspectives and experiences on the workplace, personal development, and career journeys, while building their confidence to speak and engage with colleagues from different generations.
The session featured three speakers, Mrs.Pauline Benita Suyanto, Business Executive at PT Djembatan Dua; Mr. Viter Pranata, Planning System Supervisor at PT Anugrah Argon Medica; and Mrs. Jedith Maharani Krisnayudha, System & Process Improvement Officer at PT Anugrah Argon Medica. Each brought a unique perspective around one common theme: how individuals can find meaning in their work, continue to grow, and navigate their career journeys.
Beyond Income: Gen Z Seeks Meaningful Work Experiences
For Pauline, the employee experience is shaped by more than the nature of the job, compensation, career progression, and learning opportunities. Everyday experiences also play an important role in shaping how individuals connect with their workplace.
She highlighted the importance of workspace experience, from building meaningful relationships with colleagues to creating an environment where people feel comfortable communicating, asking questions, and growing together.
“Besides salary, career progression, benefits, and learning opportunities, I believe workspace experience also matters. There is a desire to have quality time with colleagues. What matters is not only the activity itself, but also the moments of togetherness,” said Mrs. Pauline.

This perspective highlights how employee experience contributes to a stronger connection with the organization. Beyond simply fulfilling responsibilities, a sense of belonging can grow through everyday interactions and shared experiences in the workplace.
Embracing Challenges Through a Growth Mindset
Meanwhile, Viter explored the concept of a growth mindset through his session, Unleashing Growth Mindset. He encouraged participants to view their capabilities not as fixed limitations, but as qualities that can continuously develop through experience and a willingness to try.

Rather than avoiding challenges because they do not yet feel fully capable, a growth mindset encourages individuals to seize opportunities, learn from mistakes, and continuously improve.
“If I don’t take the opportunity to learn, how can I grow? I have to challenge myself,” said Mr. Viter.
To help maintain direction in personal development, Viter also shared several practical approaches, including visualizing goals, finding mentors, and building small habits consistently over time.
Learning from Trekking: Not Every Journey Has to Be Straight
A different perspective came from Mrs. Jedith, who drew on her trekking experience as a reflection on personal development and career journeys.
Through the principles of risk, roam, and repeat, Jedith encouraged participants to view their journeys as processes that do not always follow a predetermined path. At times, individuals need to take a step forward before they feel completely ready.
“Not every detour is a mistake. What matters is our ability to take the lessons from the journey,” said Mrs.Jedith.

The message reflects the idea that uncertainty, mistakes, and changes in direction do not necessarily mean someone is on the wrong path. Instead, these experiences can become valuable parts of the learning and growth process.
Understanding Gen Z, Shaping the Future of the Organization
The three perspectives demonstrate that while generations may have different ways of viewing work, there are shared needs that can bring them together: the desire to feel connected, have opportunities to grow, and continue learning.
HR Director of PT Medela Potentia Tbk, Mrs. Nancy Kartika, emphasized that generational diversity can become a strength for the organization when there is space for people to understand and learn from one another.
“Gen Z brings perspectives, ways of thinking, and ways of working that enrich the organization. Therefore, it is important for the company to provide spaces where they can share ideas, learn, discuss, and continue to grow. At the same time, these spaces provide opportunities for other generations to understand and learn from one another,” said Mrs. Nancy.

Echoing this perspective, Mrs. Valencia Sherry, Talent Management at PT Medela Potentia Tbk, highlighted that talent development does not take place solely through formal programs, but also through meaningful dialogue and the sharing of experiences.
Through dialogue platforms such as Argon Talks With Z, generational differences can go beyond simply representing different perspectives. Instead, these differences can become a starting point for greater understanding, richer experiences, and a workplace environment where every talent is encouraged to continue growing.
