Improving public health awareness requires not only access to healthcare services, but also the right knowledge about the safe and responsible use of medicines. PT Medela Potentia Tbk, through Argon Peduli, demonstrated this commitment through a community service initiative held on Saturday, August 15, 2026, at the Tondo Urban Village Office, Mantikulore District, Palu.

The initiative was a collaborative effort involving PT Medela Potentia Tbk, PT Anugrah Argon Medica (AAM) Palu, the Palu Regional Office of the Indonesian Food and Drug Authority , the Pharmacist Professional Program of Universitas Tadulako, Universitas Tadulako Hospital, and Tondo Urban Village. A total of 230 community members benefited from free health screenings, including blood pressure, blood glucose, and cholesterol checks.

In addition to health screenings, participants received education on the appropriate and responsible use of antibiotics delivered by the Palu Regional Office of the Indonesian Food and Drug Authority. The educational session aimed to strengthen public understanding of medicine use while supporting efforts to prevent antimicrobial resistance.

Combining health screenings with health education provided a more comprehensive benefit to the community. The screenings helped participants gain an early understanding of their health conditions, while education on antibiotic use encouraged more appropriate and responsible medication practices.

Mr. Marthin Tri Cahyono, Head of the Palu Branch of PT Anugrah Argon Medica (AAM), highlighted the significance of the initiative for AAM Palu. In addition to being part of the activities commemorating the 81st Anniversary of the Independence of the Republic of Indonesia, the initiative marked an important moment for AAM Palu to reconnect and grow alongside the community following the resumption of its operations after the earthquake.

“Through Argon Peduli, AAM is committed to continuing to be present and closer to the community, particularly through initiatives that support better health and quality of life. This activity is one of the ways AAM Palu contributes to growing together with the community as we resume our operations,” said Mr. Marthin.

The cross-institutional collaboration also received positive feedback from the participating stakeholders. Mr. Musthofa Anwari, S.Si., Apt., Head of the Palu Regional Office of the Indonesian Food and Drug Authority, noted that the community’s enthusiasm reflected the positive response to the free health screening initiative.

“Based on the community’s response and enthusiasm, this initiative was positively received and certainly provided the surrounding community with an opportunity to access free health screenings,” said Mr. Musthofa.

Meanwhile, Dr. Yuliet, S.Si., M.Si., Coordinator/Head of the Pharmacist Professional Education Program, Faculty of Mathematics and Natural Sciences, Universitas Tadulako, also expressed her appreciation for the initiative and the involvement of multiple stakeholders in delivering meaningful benefits to the community.

“We are very pleased to see this community service initiative carried out together with PT Medela Potentia Tbk and PT Anugrah Argon Medica, with strong enthusiasm from the community,” said Dr. Yuliet.

For Argon Peduli, collaboration is an important approach to developing social initiatives that are relevant to community needs. Bringing together healthcare institutions, educational institutions, regulators, and local government enables initiatives to go beyond health screenings by providing education that encourages more informed and responsible health practices.

Through initiatives such as this, PT Medela Potentia Tbk and its subsidiaries continue to strengthen their contribution to the community by fostering collaboration and expanding access to health services and knowledge.
