Nurses play a vital role in the healthcare system—not only in direct patient care but also as professionals with clinical expertise that is increasingly valued across various sectors of the health industry, including the rapidly evolving medical device sector.

Recognizing this strategic role, PT Medela Potentia Tbk, through its subsidiary PT Djembatan Dua, hosted a Sharing Knowledge session with nursing students at Universitas Esa Unggul on Friday, July 25, 2025, in Jakarta. This initiative aimed to broaden students’ perspectives on career opportunities within the healthcare industry and encourage them to prepare for professional contributions in the workforce.

During the session, PT Djembatan Dua’s Business Manager, Mrs. Dewa Ayu Laksemi Pramesti, presented a talk titled “Building a Bright Career: Leveraging Clinical Expertise for Innovation and Professional Growth.” She highlighted a range of career paths available to nursing graduates, including roles in technical services, marketing, business development, and distribution management..

“A career in nursing is not limited to inpatient care or clinical settings. The healthcare industry—particularly the medical device sector—offers a wide array of professional opportunities for graduates in health sciences, especially nurses and other medical professionals. Nursing students can pursue careers from a broader and more strategic perspective,” said Mrs. Dewa Ayu.

Meanwhile, Mr. Setiadi, HR Business Partner Manager at PT Djembatan Dua, introduced the corporate profile of PT Medela Potentia Tbk and its subsidiaries.

“PT Medela Potentia Tbk is a holding company overseeing multiple business entities in pharmaceutical distribution, medical devices, healthcare marketing, medical device manufacturing, and digital health platforms. To support our operations, PT Medela Potentia Tbk and its subsidiaries are constantly seeking health professionals, including nurses, who possess both practical experience and an innovative mindset to help drive the transformation of Indonesia’s healthcare system,” Mr. Setiadi explained.

The event was also attended by representatives from Universitas Esa Unggul, including Dr. Antia, S.Kp., M.Kep., Head of the Nursing Program; Ms. Ria Panjaitan, Head of the Career Readiness Center; and Mr. Riza Nurkarim, also from the Career Readiness team. All expressed their full support for this collaborative initiative and emphasized the importance of early exposure to the healthcare industry for students.
