Empowering Future Healthcare Leaders, MDLA Presents Argon Awards to Top Pharmacy Graduates at USU and UNHAS

PT Medela Potentia Tbk, through Argon Peduli, continues to strengthen its commitment to advancing healthcare human capital by presenting the Argon Awards to top graduates of the pharmacy professional program across leading universities in Indonesia.


This initiative reflects the Company’s ongoing efforts to foster pharmaceutical talents who not only excel academically but also demonstrate strong integrity and readiness to navigate the evolving dynamics of the national healthcare industry.


The award was presented to Apt. Fatihatun Nikmah Siregar, S.Farm., the top graduate of the Pharmacist Professional Program at Universitas Sumatera Utara (USU). The award was handed over by the Branch Head of PT Anugrah Argon Medica Medan, Mrs. Endratri Retno Kiswati, on Wednesday, May 6, 2026.


Similarly, the award was conferred upon Muhammad Gilang Ramadhan Tunggeng, S.Si., the top graduate of the Pharmacist Professional Education Program at Universitas Hasanuddin (UNHAS). The award was presented by the Branch Head of PT Anugrah Argon Medica Makassar, Mr. Riski Andika, during the pharmacist inauguration ceremony on Monday, May 11, 2026.


The Secretary of Universitas Sumatera Utara, Ichsan Siregar, emphasized the strategic role of pharmacists within the healthcare system, encompassing a wide spectrum of pharmaceutical practices from upstream to downstream.


“The pharmacist profession is strategic, as it holds the expertise and authority in pharmaceutical practices, ranging from manufacturing, quality control, procurement, and storage to the distribution of medicines, pharmaceutical ingredients, and traditional medicines,” he stated.


Meanwhile, the Vice Rector for Academic Affairs and Student Affairs of Universitas Hasanuddin, Prof. drg. Muhammad Ruslin, M.Kes., Ph.D., Sp.BM(K), highlighted the significant responsibility of pharmacists in meeting public expectations for healthcare services.


“The public has high expectations for accurate information and guidance, ensuring that pharmaceutical healthcare management is well understood and properly delivered,” he noted.


In her remarks, the Branch Head of AAM Medan, Mr. Endratri Retno Kiswati, underscored the increasingly vital role of pharmacists amid the growing complexity of the pharmaceutical sector.


“With the advancement of digital technology, increasingly integrated distribution systems, and evolving regulatory frameworks, pharmacists are required not only to be clinically competent but also adaptive, innovative, and capable of cross-functional collaboration,” she explained.



Branch Head of AAM Makassar, Mr. Riski Andika, added that the Argon Awards form part of PT Medela Potentia Tbk’s broader commitment to supporting human capital development in the healthcare sector.


“We aim to encourage the emergence of highly capable, integrity-driven professionals who are ready to contribute meaningfully to society,” he said.


In line with this initiative, PT Medela Potentia Tbk continues to provide development opportunities for young talents through its Supervisory Development Program (SDP), designed to prepare graduates—including pharmacists—to become future leaders in the healthcare distribution industry.


To date, the SDP has reached its 44th batch, involving alumni from various universities across Indonesia.


The event was also attended by faculty leaders, professional organizations, and members of the academic community, reflecting strong support for the synergy between academia and industry in cultivating competent and high-integrity healthcare professionals.


This collaboration between academia and industry is expected to further strengthen the readiness of Indonesia’s pharmaceutical talents in addressing the continuously evolving demands of healthcare services.
