GPOS and IAI Drive Digital Transformation in Pharmacy Business


PT Anugrah Argon Medica (AAM) and GPOS, in collaboration with the Indonesian Pharmacists Association (IAI) of Medan, held the "Pharmacist Seminar: Workshop on Digital-Based Pharmacy Business Development in the 5.0 Era" on September 4, 2024, in Medan, North Sumatra.


This hybrid event saw active participation from around 500 pharmacists and pharmacy managers, both online and in person.


Among the attendees were the Head of  Indonesian Food and Drug Authority  Medan (BPOM), Drs. Martin Suhendri, Apt., M.Farm.; Chairperson of Hisfarma IAI North Sumatra, apt. Dumartina Hutauruk, M. Farm.; Secretary of IAI North Sumatra, apt. Imam Bagus Sumantri, M.Si., S.Farm.; Chairperson of IAI Medan Branch, Apt. Asyrun Al-Khairi Lubis, M.Farm.; and the CEO of Flimgroup, Mr. Denis Hadi.


Also present were representatives from AAM, including AAM’s Digital Transformation Director, Mr. Handi Halim; AAM Medan Branch Manager, Mrs. Endratri Retno Kiswati; and Customer Success & Operations Associate Manager of GPOS ID, Mr. Yohanes Denis Dwiputranto.


The event was opened by the Chairperson of IAI Medan Branch, who emphasized the importance of implementing digital systems in pharmacy operations.


"This workshop is a crucial step in advancing the application of digital technology in the pharmacy sector, supporting the necessary transformation to face the 5.0 Era," said apt. Asyrun.


Echoing this, the Head of Medan BPOM explained that digitalization has transformed the paradigm of pharmaceutical services, shifting from conventional approaches to technology-driven solutions. This includes the implementation of higher service standards and the significant benefits of information technology in facilitating pharmaceutical service processes.


The adoption of technology by pharmacy owners to enhance services is considered vital. Therefore, pharmacy owners must remain open to technological advancements.

"The aim is to improve service quality, reduce costs, and make healthcare services more accessible to patients," said apt. Dumartina Hutauruk, M.Farm.


AAM's Digital Transformation Director emphasized that AAM, through GPOS, provides a digital ecosystem for pharmacy management and integrated drug sales, offering solutions to digitalize pharmacies, making them more practical, productive, and increasing sales.



The solutions offered by GPOS include GPOS Lite (pharmacy management application), GPOS B2B (B2B e-commerce), pharmacy establishment solutions, and integration with the GoApotik Application (B2C e-commerce).


"Investing in digital systems is a strategic step for pharmacies. AAM facilitates the digitalization process through GPOS, enabling pharmacies to increase productivity, provide better services to patients, and ultimately be more profitable," explained Mr. Handi.


The GPOS team also demonstrated the GPOS Lite application, which complies with BPOM and Ministry of Health regulations.


"GPOS Lite can be accessed through the device we use daily—our smartphone. With GPOS Lite, pharmacy owners can control their business anytime and anywhere," said Mr. Yohanes.
