A magnitude 7.7 earthquake that struck Nagekeo Regency, East Nusa Tenggara (NTT), on August 15, 2026, not only disrupted homes and daily activities but also increased the need for healthcare services.

Amid the emergency situation, access to medicines has become an urgent need that cannot be delayed, particularly as affected communities are spread across several evacuation points with limited mobility and access to assistance.

Some affected residents in East Manggarai, for example, reported difficulties in obtaining medicines due to the distance between evacuation posts and the main relief centers, as well as limited fuel availability to reach sources of assistance. This situation highlights the importance of ensuring medicine availability alongside efforts to support communities in their recovery following the disaster.

In response to these needs, PT Medela Potentia Tbk, through its subsidiary PT Anugrah Argon Medica (AAM) and Argon Peduli, donated medicines to three hospitals in NTT: RSUD Aeramo in Nagekeo Regency, RSUD Ruteng in Manggarai Regency, and RSUD T.C. Hillers in Sikka Regency. In total, 1,342 boxes of medicines were donated to support healthcare services for communities affected by the earthquake.

The donation included various products, such as Stimuno Forte, Oxyvit C+, Sucralfate Suspension, DexaMOL, and Phenytoin Sodium Injection, which were received on August 21 and 22, 2026.

The donation was delivered through AAM representatives from the Field Force Station in the AAM Kupang Branch area and received by representatives of each hospital. The support was deeply appreciated by all three hospitals and is expected to help maintain medicine availability while supporting the continuity of healthcare services for communities requiring medical attention during the post-disaster period.

“In times of disaster, healthcare needs are among the priorities that require our collective attention. Through Argon Peduli, we aim to contribute by providing support that can help healthcare facilities and communities respond to emergency situations. We hope this assistance will provide meaningful benefits and help ensure that healthcare services can continue for those in need,” said Indrawan Adhi Nugraha, Head of Operations of PT Anugrah Argon Medica.

This donation of medicines is part of Argon Peduli’s commitment to supporting communities through contributions that respond to needs on the ground. Beyond normal circumstances, its commitment to health is also reflected in support for communities and healthcare facilities during emergencies and disasters.
