One of the keys to a company's sustainability in the digital era is its ability to adapt to technological changes. This adaptability is one of the success factors for PT Medela Potentia and its subsidiaries, as shared by Mr. Cahyadi Suwindra, Information Technology Director of PT Medela Potentia, during Leaders Sharing event "Bertumbuh Bersama” (ed. Growing Together) at Titan Center on Wednesday, June 19, 2024.
In his address to employees both in-person and virtually, Mr. Cahyadi emphasized the importance of companies being adaptable to digital technology and enhancing their value by courageously embracing challenges. "We must always look for new ideas so that the company can continue to take off," he said.
Mr. Cahyadi further elaborated on the significant changes in information technology over the past 30 years. He was instrumental in the digital transformation at PT Anugrah Argon Medica (AAM), making it the first pharmaceutical distribution company to adopt the latest Oracle E- Business Suite technology since 2002.
"I was surprised at the time; AAM was on the bleeding edge, using Oracle version 11.5.2 right after its launch. All technology changed and was not yet stable, but AAM implemented it massively, from supply chain planning, finance, order management, advanced pricing, logistics, and more," explained Mr. Cahyadi.
AAM became the first company to use Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) by end-to-end, also providing information services to all principals by 2023.
Mr. Cahyadi stressed that companies must continuously adapt and adopt digital technology in every aspect of their business because technology always evolves and regulators are also adopting technology in their policies.
"In the healthcare industry, there are many regulations to follow, but regulators are also catching up with technology, especially Indonesian Food and Drug Authority (BPOM,) which accepts input from the industry, as long as it helps achieve their goals and complies with applicable guidelines," emphasized Mr. Cahyadi.
In the final session, Mr. Cahyadi encouraged each individual to perform their respective departmental roles. A company's growth will be achieved when leaders and all members of the organization unite to realize the company's vision and mission by enhancing value and bargaining power with stakeholders.
