PT Medela Potentia Tbk (MDLA) and its subsidiaries have spent the past two decades building the digital backbone that supports the modernization of Indonesia’s healthcare supply chain. Since 2003, the company has leveraged technology systems to record and manage large-scale operational data. Today, this consistently accumulated dataset of more than 20 years is being harnessed to generate insights that strengthen decision-making and enhance business process efficiency.
MDLA’s Information Technology Director, Mrs. Cahyadi Suwindra Sugondo, emphasized that digital integration is not a new initiative but a long-term evolution aligned with technological progress.
“We have been using digital systems since 2003, and the data accumulated is enormous. We are now analyzing that data to extract actionable insights using technologies such as AI,” he explained.
MDLA’s modernization efforts span every critical point of the healthcare distribution ecosystem. On the consumer side, the company operates GoApotik, a platform for ordering healthcare products and prescription medicines connected to a nationwide pharmacy network. This service is strengthened by GPOS B2B and GPOS Lite, pharmacy operational systems that enable digital ordering directly from principals while improving stock and transaction accuracy.

Across the supply chain, the company has implemented a Warehouse Management System (WMS) with real-time temperature monitoring, barcode systems, and inventory integration to enhance accuracy and speed in fulfilling demand.
MDLA also utilizes AI-driven technology to improve planning accuracy and operational efficiency. Through the AI Optimizer Planning System, the company can plan procurement and allocate products more precisely based on demand patterns, stock availability, and healthcare facility needs. In distribution, AI-powered courier routing automatically optimizes delivery routes, ensuring faster, more efficient, and consistent service to pharmacies and healthcare facilities.

For commercial teams, the Infostep application provides real-time stock monitoring, transaction history, and direct ordering from mobile devices. All systems connect to a unified IT platform designed to strengthen modern, responsive, and reliable distribution processes.
This digital commitment is closely aligned with the company’s sustainability agenda. MDLA’s HR & Sustainability Director, Mrs. Nancy Kartika, emphasized that innovation is not only about efficiency but also about ensuring sustainable healthcare service quality for the community.
“Technology enables us to maintain service consistency, enhance transparency, and ensure quality throughout our processes,” she said.
These initiatives were recognized with the Technology & Digital Innovation Award at the BeritaSatu Appreciation Night 2025, held on Friday, November 20, at the Mulia Hotel Jakarta. The assessment was conducted throughout 2024 by an independent jury panel comprising members of B-Universe’s research and editorial teams. The award reaffirms MDLA’s long-standing journey in strengthening digital capabilities across Indonesia’s healthcare ecosystem.
