PT Medela Potentia and its subsidiaries are committed to supporting Indonesia’s health independence and resilience through active participation in the Health Innovation Festival (HAI Fest) in commemoration of the 60th National Health Day (HKN) from November 7-9, 2024, at Hall-B, JCC Senayan, Jakarta.
The company will offer educational sessions and showcase high-quality medical devices with a high Domestic Content Value (TKDN) to attendees and guests. Featured products will include the Stardec Decafix, Stardec Decamed-T, and Stardec Decaplast, all manufactured at PT Deca Metric Medica’s medical devices facility, a subsidiary inaugurated by Indonesia’s Minister of Health, Mr. Budi Gunadi Sadikin, in December 2023.
In his speech, the Health Minister emphasized that the development of the pharmaceutical, medical device, and healthcare service industries would prioritize local production, aligning with the third pillar of health transformation—strengthening the healthcare resilience system.
“The pandemic highlighted the limitations in the supply of medical devices and medicines. With a population exceeding 280 million, Indonesia must be prepared to meet urgent needs like medications, vaccines, ventilators, and PPE. Hence, we are committed to bolstering the domestic pharmaceutical and medical device industries to ensure a resilient and secure healthcare system in the face of future pandemics,” said the Minister.
The opening ceremony of the 60th HKN celebration was also attended by the Coordinating Minister for Human Development and Culture (Menko PMK), Mr. Pratikno; Deputy Minister of Health, Mr. Dante Saksono Harbuwono; and various other Ministry of Health stakeholders.
In his address, Menko PMK emphasized the government’s focus on strengthening Indonesia’s healthcare resilience through locally produced medicines and medical devices.
“Innovation must continue and should not be limited to researchers in health sciences. The government has also urged the Health Minister to prioritize budget allocation for domestic healthcare product procurement,” stated Menko Pratikno.
Building Health Resilience through Distribution and Technology
For over four decades, Medela Potentia has been trusted to deliver quality healthcare products and services. President Director of Medela Potentia Mr. Krestijanto Pandji reiterated the commitment of the company and its subsidiaries to supporting national health independence, including through a robust distribution network and beneficial technological innovations.
Through its subsidiary Anugrah Argon Medica (AAM), the company continues to expand the distribution of pharmaceuticals and medical devices, including to patients under the National Health Insurance (JKN) scheme across Indonesia’s healthcare facilities.
AAM, supported by 35 branches, three representative sales offices, and two national distribution centers, is capable of distributing various high-quality health products, including JKN patient medicines and medical devices, to facilities across Indonesia.
“AAM distributes medicines and medical devices to over 3,000 hospitals, more than 3,500 clinics, and over 23,000 partner pharmacies,” stated Mr. Krestijanto.
To directly serve consumers, Medela Potentia offers continuously growing and relevant technological solutions, including the GoApotik application, which provides over 50,000 health products through more than 6,600 partner pharmacies.
