PT Medela Potentia Tbk, through its social responsibility arm Argon Peduli, in collaboration with the Faculty of Health Sciences (FIKes) and Faculty of Medicine (FK) of Jenderal Soedirman University (UNSOED), conducted a community health screening and chronic disease treatment initiative in Purwokerto on Wednesday, April 23, 2025, at the Purwokerto Kulon Sub-District Office.

The initiative served approximately 175 local residents, providing screenings for three major chronic illnesses: hypertension, high cholesterol, and diabetes. Participants also received direct medical consultations with physicians and prescribed medications based on their clinical conditions. In addition to healthcare services, the event also included the distribution of basic food aid packages—consisting of rice and cooking oil—as part of the company’s commitment to supporting community food security.

Mrs. Nancy Kartika, Human Resources Director of PT Medela Potentia Tbk, emphasized that this initiative was made possible through the strong synergy between the industry, academic, and government sectors. She noted that robust collaboration forms a critical foundation for delivering sustainable and wide-reaching healthcare solutions. The company believes that a cross-sector approach is essential in creating meaningful social change.

“As a company committed to sustainability values, our social collaboration with UNSOED represents a tangible impact-driven partnership. This initiative reflects the company’s active role in advancing public health while building long-term strategic alliances,” said Mrs. Nancy.

The event was also attended by Dr.rer.nat. apt. Harwoko, M.Sc., Head of the Pharmacy Program at UNSOED; Mrs. Zulanda Virgi Mufriani, S.E., Acting Head of the Purwokerto Kulon Sub-District; Mr. I Wayan Sunadika, Branch Manager of PT Anugrah Argon Medica (AAM) Purwokerto; along with the AAM Purwokerto team and Argon Peduli volunteers.

Mr. I Wayan Sunadika, Branch Manager of AAM Purwokerto, highlighted the importance of early detection and preventive action for chronic disease management.

“We hope this initiative will help the community monitor their health conditions and adopt the right preventive measures to maintain their well-being going forward,” he stated.

Healthcare personnel from the Faculty of Health Sciences and Faculty of Medicine at UNSOED also played an active role in supporting the implementation of the program. Their involvement reflects the university’s commitment to community service as part of the Tri Dharma of Higher Education.
