PT Medela Potentia Tbk (MDLA) through its subsidiary PT Deca Metric Medica (DMM) conducted its inaugural export of medical devices to Cambodia and Timor Leste on Tuesday, 5 August 2025. The shipment comprised two flagship wound care products, Stardec DecaFix and Stardec DecaMed-T.
This initiative forms part of PT Medela Potentia Tbk’s strategy to expand the reach of Indonesia’s domestically manufactured medical devices into international markets, while strengthening the nation’s role as a global player in the medical device sector. The products will be distributed to healthcare facilities and pharmacies in both destination countries.
The export release ceremony took place at PT DMM’s manufacturing facility in the Jababeka Industrial Estate, Cikarang, and was attended by the management of PT Medela Potentia Tbk, including President Commissioner Mr. Stanley Budihardja; Director Mr. Edbert Orotodan; Director of PT Deca Metric Medica, Mr. Stephen Febianto Kusumo; and Corporate Supply Chain & Sustainability Director of Dexa Group, Mr. Anton Harjanto.
The decision to select Cambodia and Timor-Leste as the first export destinations was strategic. Both are long-standing partners of Indonesia, with steadily growing demand for medical devices.

“We are confident in our ability to penetrate these markets more quickly and effectively. This marks the first step to ensure that products manufactured by DMM are not only well-received domestically but also in international markets,” said Mr. Stephen.
The Stardec DecaFix and Stardec DecaMed-T products are designed to meet wound care needs in healthcare facilities, including hospitals and clinics, and will also be available to the general public through pharmacies. This milestone reinforces DMM’s commitment to delivering high-quality healthcare products that meet global standards.
“We are grateful that PT DMM has met international standards through ISO 13485:2016 certification. This is a crucial foundation for us to compete in the global market, particularly within the ASEAN region,” Mr. Stephen added.
Meanwhile, Mr. Edbert Orotodan highlighted that this export achievement reflects the strong synergy among business units within PT Medela Potentia Tbk and its subsidiaries.
“This step is not merely about shipping products overseas, but also part of our greater mission to expand access to high-quality, locally made healthcare products. It is a tangible manifestation of our commitment to driving the growth of Indonesia’s medical device sector in the global market,” he stated.
Mr. Edbert further noted that this inaugural export aligns with Indonesia’s growing opportunities in the global medical device industry.

“In 2024, Indonesia’s medical device exports were valued at approximately USD 273 million. This reflects the vast market potential and growing global trust in the quality of Indonesia’s manufacturing. PT Medela Potentia Tbk sees this as a strategic momentum to strengthen Indonesia’s position as an important contributor in the global medical device supply chain,” he added.
This export initiative is expected to serve as a gateway for broader market penetration across Southeast Asia and beyond, while contributing to the growth of Indonesia’s medical device exports on the international stage.
